If you have never been a professional house cleaner, here are a few things you should know:
You don’t have to be young. Some of our best cleaners are in their 60s.
This is an active job; you are constantly moving.
Cleaners report logging between 10,000 – 15,000 steps a day while cleaning. Health experts suggest getting at least 10,000 steps daily, so you'll definitely achieve that here.
You’re not going fast, but you can’t be slow. Most people struggle at first to reach an appropriate professional work pace. During training, you will learn the right pace to maintain while cleaning.
You will need to eat and snack throughout the day to fuel your body’s increased energy needs. This is not optional—it’s a rookie mistake to skip meals. Just like a professional athlete, if you don’t eat during the day, you won’t have the energy to perform well and stay safe.
You will be bending and getting down on one knee throughout the cleaning process.
The most physically demanding parts of the job are running the vacuum cleaner and mopping floors.
Some homes require extensive scrubbing to remove soap scum or stains from tubs and showers.
You will sweat, so be sure to wear comfortable clothes.
You will carry equipment and supplies into homes and navigate stairs.
It may take you a month to feel physically capable of doing this job. With time and practice, once your body adapts to this work, it gets much easier, and you can continue for as long as you like.
The last job in the house will wrap up by 4:45 PM at the latest, ensuring you return to the office by 5:30 PM, with most days seeing you back between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. Our goal is to provide you with 6 hours of cleaning each day so you can maximize your weekly earnings.

Life is short and we believe having a positive and encouraging work environment is important
We are happy people. This is hard work but we have fun with it. Everyone makes mistakes, but we learn from them and move on. We encourage each other and expect high performance through team and individual performance.
Our goal is to train people to become world-class cleaners, but we know how to do that in a positive and encouraging environment.
That helps to reduce stress which helps the family in many ways.
You will hear “Thank You” a lot here.
We truly appreciate everyone on our team and you will hear it often.
We do little things to show our appreciation so you are constantly reminded how important you are to us and to your customers.
Here are several compelling reasons to choose us as your employer.
We don’t clean nasty houses
If a home's condition exceeds a certain threshold, we will decline to clean it
Do we clean dirty homes? Absolutely, but not those that are excessively dirty. We have a clear and widely accepted definition of what we consider "too nasty."
We don’t tolerate bad customers
Customers who hover or watch you the entire time you clean
Customers who interrupt beyond reason
Customers who argue with family or friends in their homes
Customers who raise their voice
Rude customers in general
Any hostile work environment
The list goes on. Seriously.
Here’s the good news… It’s rare to encounter a difficult customer, but it can happen.
If it does, we have a process in place to protect our team. We’ve got your back. The office handles the customer so you don’t have to. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, we’ve got it covered.
Why would any employer talk about getting fired when recruiting? Unlike typical maid companies, we’re here to create a supportive and rewarding work environment from the start.
Our turnover rate is only a third of the industry average. Many cleaners have told us this is the best place they’ve ever worked, and we’re proud to have team members who feel valued and appreciated. We’re always looking for ways to improve and welcome feedback to make this the best workplace for professional home cleaners.
Attendance
Around 90% of our turnover is due to attendance issues. Despite having one of the most generous time-off policies—not only in the maid business but across many industries—attendance remains the main reason people leave or are let go. New employees receive 20 days (or 4 weeks) off in their first year. Yes, 20 days! Most employers only offer 8-10 days in the first year, but we provide 20, accrued monthly. This means you gain 1.67 days (or 13.28 hours) of time off each month, equating to roughly 2 days.
If you think you’ll need more than 2 days off each month, full-time may not be the right fit. Part-time employees also have attendance expectations. We’re looking for dependable, reliable team members who can work within our generous time-off plan. If you can, you’ll have the opportunity to stay with us as long as you’d like.
Pace of Work, Quality Standards, and Coachability
About 10% of our turnover comes from those who struggle with work speed, attention to detail, or following instructions to deliver high-quality cleaning. These challenges often arise with people new to cleaning. It typically takes 2-4 weeks to learn to clean at a high standard, and once you’ve mastered it, the job becomes easier. It’s still hard work, as with any job, requiring focus, thoroughness, and a commitment to double-checking your work.
Not interested in professional house cleaning.
Most maid companies only hire people with experience because it’s hard to know if you’ll enjoy cleaning professionally until you’ve done it for a few weeks. Many new hires without experience leave within the first month—just as they’re starting to get the hang of it, and when the job becomes easier.
Professional cleaning isn’t the same as tidying up your own home or helping a friend. It’s physically demanding work, just like any other job, and requires sticking to a manageable but efficient schedule. We clean more homes than other maid services and maintain the highest standards. That’s why we’re looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy cleaning, and value the benefits and support we provide to our team. This dedication to quality and employee well-being is why our customers love our service and why our company continues to grow.
